The perpetual giver

Not once has He not heard,
The call of when I called.
Not once has He not seen,
The tears that dripped from my anxious eye.
Not once has He neglected,
The prayers of my silent heart,
Within the deepness of the night.
Not once did He not forgive,
My sin when I weeped out of regret,
Hoping for his forgiveness,
Repeating the words that He sent.
Not once did He withhold the provision - when I disobeyed him,
Far astray I went!
Out of his infinite Mercy did He continue to give,
To provide,
To sustain,
To love,
To protect,
To forgive!
The perpetual giver,
The everlasting provider,
O Lord!
Guide us to your Jannah!
Save us from the punishment!

An invite from my Lord

And so I stand,
In absolute awe of what i see,
My feet can carry me no longer,
My eyes no longer can contain the tears,
My heart becomes overwhelmed,
My lips uttering nothing but Praises of my Lord,
I gaze up at the House of Allah,
So beautiful, a mesmerising sight,
I am in utter amazement,
At the fact that I'm here,
My Lord invited me to His house,
How I must be so dear,
Alhamdulilah are the words flowing from my lips,
What a Wonderful place,
To my left and right I hear takbeers,
People praying, crying with humility,
O how I could live this moment forever,
Is this all a dream?
Making Du'as after Du'as,
My heart letting everything go,
I'm finally here,
Makkah - my Lord invited me

Blueberry Muffins

Inspired by the school’s scrumptious blueberry muffins and by my witty book-loving classmate <3

Our Imaan is like a blueberry muffin.

Sometime our Imaan is at a high and sometimes at a low.

Sometimes you can make your blueberry muffin rise perfectly but other times, it can come out flat too.

In order to get your perfect blueberry muffin - with the perfect rise and perfect blend of blueberries, we need to master the recipe and put in the right amount of ingredients all the time, so when we whip that batch up, we can produce the perfect muffin..

Likewise just like we need to give our muffin the perfect rise, we need to find the RIGHT recipe and manual to keep our Imaan consistent and keep it rising.

So reading the Quran, praying salaah with sincerity, doing those things which gives our Imaan a boost or keeps us motivated, learning to have Tawakkul in Allah, ceasing to sin and doing all things for the sake of Allah. All these things should keep our Imaan rising but also our ranks elevating.

Once we see our muffin is rising perfectly or even moderately well…we need to learn to get that RIGHT blend of blueberries…don’t want too much, but don’t want too less either, need to strike a balance and put in a moderate amount, it needs to taste good…yummmm :)

Likewise, we need to keep our Imaan consistent and practice Islam moderately…just like we shouldn’t have too MUCH or too LESS blueberries in our muffin, we shouldn’t go too extreme in our Religious practises, but we shouldn’t be neglectful and put in less effort in our Religious practises.

Therefore, getting our muffin to be as PERFECT as possible, with a perfect rise and right blend of blueberries is a task we should all be willing to take…after all who doesn’t want to have that PERFECT blueberry muffin?

Justice will come

This life is but a journey
Of many twists and turns
Where the darkness of oppression
Rules over the innocent souls
To be human is a novelty
A honour, a uniqueness.

Injustice may be wide spread
Yet Allah is the Most Just of Judges
So let them increase in their rebellion
Their hatred towards us
We believe in a world after this
As wide as the heavens and the earth
A promise from the Lord
Who will let the truth be known
One day
They will come to know

The epitome of excellence

Sometimes i stop to reflect,
To reflect upon the persona of the greatest man that walked this Earth.
You may have heard many things about him,
Yet, how much of it is the truth?

I want you to join me as we travel through the life,
of a real man,
called Muhammad.
He is my hero,
A shining example for you and I,
Just please,
stop, and come with me,
take some moments out,
As we experience his life together.

Let me start you off with his childhood,
He was unique from all the other kids,
Blessed, clever, intelligent,
and already so wise.
He was unlike the rest,
He was a child who attempted to do what was best,
helping his uncle in trade,
an upright character of high morale and honesty.

As a youg man,he would herd the sheep,
Reflecting upon the creation,
Surely, there must be a Creator?
Of such detail and complexity?

Manhood brought him experience after experience,
He was a man of truth, knowledge and special understanding,
Medidating in the cave,
Sad of all the idols they were worshipping!
O how if only they could stop their evils and wrongdoings,
and so he would sit and ponder days after days.

Even before prophethood, he would help the needy,
A brilliant husband to his wife Khadidja,
The best love story you would ever read,
A relationship based on true love, and understanding,
A heart full of Mercy, he would withold ties of kinship,
never severing,
Care, concern for the people was always a prority.

Iqra! Read, yet he couldn't read,
But never did he give up,
persisitng through this heavy wahi,
How honourd of a slave he was,
a man chosen to hold the prophecy,
the seal of all prophets,
a mercy for generations to follow.

At Tai'f he bled for this ummahs victory,
Preaching the religion of Abraham private and publicly,
Never harsh, nor cruel nor abusive nor violent!
Rather, kindess, humility, subtle were his qualities,
Tears ran down his faces, as he repeats,
"My ummah!" "My Ummah!"

He married, for the sake of His Lord,
To support these women,
to treat them as they ought to be treated!
With compassion and beauty,
How they loved him,
a shining husband, father,
How you and i should try to be.

When he died.
How sad felt his community,
shaking the hearts of many,
the greatest of calamities!
Abu Bakr reminds that Allah never dies.
So worship Him, and Him alone

A slave of Allah,
whose company was a pleasure to keep,
returned to his Lord, where he chose to be,
in the highest of companionship.

It dosn't stop there.

He will come on the day of Judgement,
Interceding with Allahs permission for me and you,
for he loves us,
He will beg Allah to shower his Mercy,
on even those who had an ounce of faith.

Now tell me, why i shouldn't shed tears,
when i hear their mocking?
And in Allah we put our trust,
May He unite us in Jannah, with all the Prophets, Martyrs and Saliheen.

A Letter to the family of a Prisoner..

Today I want to share something I wrote which is called“ A Letter to the Family of a Prisoner”.

But before that, I want you to get a piece of paper and a pen and write on it “Reminder: Make dua for my brothers and sister in prison” –stick it somewhere you know you will see it, and always remember them in your Duas.

“Dear family of prisoner, Know that Allah azza waj’al burdens no soul with more than it can bear. He, Allah (swt), has chosen you. You have been chosen to be part of this huge test, but let me tell you one thing; you are special.

Your Lord, Allah (swt) the All-Knowing, is testing you, testing you, so that your ranks are raised high in the hereafter. So that He (swt) can count you in as of those who were the patient!

It is mentioned in a Hadith that “Allah tests those He loves” ..

The Prophets were tested severely, and a believer alike will be tested similarly. But always remember when Allah (swt) tests a people, there is always wisdom behind it.

Allah (swt) loves to see His slave with a humble heart, calling upon His Lord day and night. Relying on Him. Trusting in Him. Believing that ease will come after hardship.

He, azza waj'al, is drawing you all closer to him, making you patient so you can reap the fruits of the hereafter. He, Allah, wants what is BEST for you. So believe in that with all your heart! Feel the Mercy of Allah being bestowed and drenched upon you all, and the member of your family you’ve lost!

Be patient. Remember the verse “Indeed after every hardship will be ease”

Remember Yaqub (as) when his son Yusuf (as) was taken away from him, naturally he felt so much sorrow. He cried so much out of grief, that he became blind! He was separated from his dearest son for years, yet Allah (swt) re united him with his son, and raised both there ranks in this life and the hereafter! Take comfort, in the words of Allah. Read the story of Yusuf (as) and know that your stories are similar, and that you will be united again, whether it is in this life or the hereafter.

Know that Allah is strengthening your heart, your belief, your faith in him so be certain, that ease is to follow. Remember, there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel.

We have hope for paradise, a paradise as huge as the heavens and earth! So be patient for the fruits of patience is Jannah!! Never lose hope.

Imagine the great rewards that are with Allah, and have sabr. For Indeed Allah is with As-Sabiroon.

May Allah (swt) grant you ease, heal your pain and re unite you again with whom you have lost. May He enter you all into the highest stations of Jannah, where you can dwell with your family for eternity. Aameen.

The journey comes to an end...

Bismillah,

So..

Alhamdulilah, I got to see another Ramadhan this year. What an amazing journey and experience it has been for myself personally and for all those around me.

I still remember the feeling of happiness and joy when I find out the news that the moon has been sighted and Ramadhan is the next day. I feel overwhelmed with excitement, that my honored guest has arrived! How I have been waiting for months for this beautiful guest to pay me another visit, all praise is due to Allah!

In fact, I feel so great to know that month has arrived where the atmosphere around will also be one of peace and tranquility.

You know what I love deeply about this month? They are the small things sometimes that bring tears of happiness in my eyes!!

Don't you so feel such a tingling feeling of happiness inside when you see your Muslims brothers and sisters, out in there masjid garments even after midnight, all coming back from worshipping there Lord?

And the amazing times you have with your loved ones at suhoor time, when even the little ones come join you?

What about those times when your house is filled with the mesmerising and most beautiful words of Allah, recited by Makkah taraaweeh by Sheikh Sudais and Maher?

Even them busy wizzy moments after iftar when your rushing around getting ready to go for taraaweeh prayer?

How about that overwhelming feeling when the sheikh reciting in taraaweeh comes to an ayah where he includes the word "Jannah" and in your mind your like "OMG! I know what that meaaaaaans!""

And to add the cherry on the cake, the witr dua, when 10 odd people (estimate amount at your masjid, or let's say 4/5 million people in Makkah!) pour there hearts our as they invoke there lord together, not bothered what the people next to them think?! And the absolutely beautiful thing, is to acknowledge the fact that Allahs listening to each one of there prayers, subhan'Allah!

This is the month of mercy, which has passed, how it saddens me. How much I will miss it. Yet we need to remember were not only Ramadhan Muslims. Allah, Islam, Quran, Qiyaam are there out of Ramadhan too, so hold onto your deen tightly, and increase your good deeds for Allah out of Ramadhan too.

May Allah (swt) allow us to live to see many more ramadhans, to accept our actions and repentance that we did this Ramadhan, and to keep us steadfast after Ramadhan, Aameen

"O controller of the hearts, keep our hearts firm on your religion" Aameen

Taqabal minna Wa Minkum, wa salihul a'mal.

Until next time,

Wassalamu Alaykum,

Your dear uktis.
