The perpetual giver

Not once has He not heard,
The call of when I called.
Not once has He not seen,
The tears that dripped from my anxious eye.
Not once has He neglected,
The prayers of my silent heart,
Within the deepness of the night.
Not once did He not forgive,
My sin when I weeped out of regret,
Hoping for his forgiveness,
Repeating the words that He sent.
Not once did He withhold the provision - when I disobeyed him,
Far astray I went!
Out of his infinite Mercy did He continue to give,
To provide,
To sustain,
To love,
To protect,
To forgive!
The perpetual giver,
The everlasting provider,
O Lord!
Guide us to your Jannah!
Save us from the punishment!

An invite from my Lord

And so I stand,
In absolute awe of what i see,
My feet can carry me no longer,
My eyes no longer can contain the tears,
My heart becomes overwhelmed,
My lips uttering nothing but Praises of my Lord,
I gaze up at the House of Allah,
So beautiful, a mesmerising sight,
I am in utter amazement,
At the fact that I'm here,
My Lord invited me to His house,
How I must be so dear,
Alhamdulilah are the words flowing from my lips,
What a Wonderful place,
To my left and right I hear takbeers,
People praying, crying with humility,
O how I could live this moment forever,
Is this all a dream?
Making Du'as after Du'as,
My heart letting everything go,
I'm finally here,
Makkah - my Lord invited me

Blueberry Muffins

Inspired by the school’s scrumptious blueberry muffins and by my witty book-loving classmate <3

Our Imaan is like a blueberry muffin.

Sometime our Imaan is at a high and sometimes at a low.

Sometimes you can make your blueberry muffin rise perfectly but other times, it can come out flat too.

In order to get your perfect blueberry muffin - with the perfect rise and perfect blend of blueberries, we need to master the recipe and put in the right amount of ingredients all the time, so when we whip that batch up, we can produce the perfect muffin..

Likewise just like we need to give our muffin the perfect rise, we need to find the RIGHT recipe and manual to keep our Imaan consistent and keep it rising.

So reading the Quran, praying salaah with sincerity, doing those things which gives our Imaan a boost or keeps us motivated, learning to have Tawakkul in Allah, ceasing to sin and doing all things for the sake of Allah. All these things should keep our Imaan rising but also our ranks elevating.

Once we see our muffin is rising perfectly or even moderately well…we need to learn to get that RIGHT blend of blueberries…don’t want too much, but don’t want too less either, need to strike a balance and put in a moderate amount, it needs to taste good…yummmm :)

Likewise, we need to keep our Imaan consistent and practice Islam moderately…just like we shouldn’t have too MUCH or too LESS blueberries in our muffin, we shouldn’t go too extreme in our Religious practises, but we shouldn’t be neglectful and put in less effort in our Religious practises.

Therefore, getting our muffin to be as PERFECT as possible, with a perfect rise and right blend of blueberries is a task we should all be willing to take…after all who doesn’t want to have that PERFECT blueberry muffin?

Justice will come

This life is but a journey
Of many twists and turns
Where the darkness of oppression
Rules over the innocent souls
To be human is a novelty
A honour, a uniqueness.

Injustice may be wide spread
Yet Allah is the Most Just of Judges
So let them increase in their rebellion
Their hatred towards us
We believe in a world after this
As wide as the heavens and the earth
A promise from the Lord
Who will let the truth be known
One day
They will come to know

The epitome of excellence

Sometimes i stop to reflect,
To reflect upon the persona of the greatest man that walked this Earth.
You may have heard many things about him,
Yet, how much of it is the truth?

I want you to join me as we travel through the life,
of a real man,
called Muhammad.
He is my hero,
A shining example for you and I,
Just please,
stop, and come with me,
take some moments out,
As we experience his life together.

Let me start you off with his childhood,
He was unique from all the other kids,
Blessed, clever, intelligent,
and already so wise.
He was unlike the rest,
He was a child who attempted to do what was best,
helping his uncle in trade,
an upright character of high morale and honesty.

As a youg man,he would herd the sheep,
Reflecting upon the creation,
Surely, there must be a Creator?
Of such detail and complexity?

Manhood brought him experience after experience,
He was a man of truth, knowledge and special understanding,
Medidating in the cave,
Sad of all the idols they were worshipping!
O how if only they could stop their evils and wrongdoings,
and so he would sit and ponder days after days.

Even before prophethood, he would help the needy,
A brilliant husband to his wife Khadidja,
The best love story you would ever read,
A relationship based on true love, and understanding,
A heart full of Mercy, he would withold ties of kinship,
never severing,
Care, concern for the people was always a prority.

Iqra! Read, yet he couldn't read,
But never did he give up,
persisitng through this heavy wahi,
How honourd of a slave he was,
a man chosen to hold the prophecy,
the seal of all prophets,
a mercy for generations to follow.

At Tai'f he bled for this ummahs victory,
Preaching the religion of Abraham private and publicly,
Never harsh, nor cruel nor abusive nor violent!
Rather, kindess, humility, subtle were his qualities,
Tears ran down his faces, as he repeats,
"My ummah!" "My Ummah!"

He married, for the sake of His Lord,
To support these women,
to treat them as they ought to be treated!
With compassion and beauty,
How they loved him,
a shining husband, father,
How you and i should try to be.

When he died.
How sad felt his community,
shaking the hearts of many,
the greatest of calamities!
Abu Bakr reminds that Allah never dies.
So worship Him, and Him alone

A slave of Allah,
whose company was a pleasure to keep,
returned to his Lord, where he chose to be,
in the highest of companionship.

It dosn't stop there.

He will come on the day of Judgement,
Interceding with Allahs permission for me and you,
for he loves us,
He will beg Allah to shower his Mercy,
on even those who had an ounce of faith.

Now tell me, why i shouldn't shed tears,
when i hear their mocking?
And in Allah we put our trust,
May He unite us in Jannah, with all the Prophets, Martyrs and Saliheen.

A Letter to the family of a Prisoner..

Today I want to share something I wrote which is called“ A Letter to the Family of a Prisoner”.

But before that, I want you to get a piece of paper and a pen and write on it “Reminder: Make dua for my brothers and sister in prison” –stick it somewhere you know you will see it, and always remember them in your Duas.

“Dear family of prisoner, Know that Allah azza waj’al burdens no soul with more than it can bear. He, Allah (swt), has chosen you. You have been chosen to be part of this huge test, but let me tell you one thing; you are special.

Your Lord, Allah (swt) the All-Knowing, is testing you, testing you, so that your ranks are raised high in the hereafter. So that He (swt) can count you in as of those who were the patient!

It is mentioned in a Hadith that “Allah tests those He loves” ..

The Prophets were tested severely, and a believer alike will be tested similarly. But always remember when Allah (swt) tests a people, there is always wisdom behind it.

Allah (swt) loves to see His slave with a humble heart, calling upon His Lord day and night. Relying on Him. Trusting in Him. Believing that ease will come after hardship.

He, azza waj'al, is drawing you all closer to him, making you patient so you can reap the fruits of the hereafter. He, Allah, wants what is BEST for you. So believe in that with all your heart! Feel the Mercy of Allah being bestowed and drenched upon you all, and the member of your family you’ve lost!

Be patient. Remember the verse “Indeed after every hardship will be ease”

Remember Yaqub (as) when his son Yusuf (as) was taken away from him, naturally he felt so much sorrow. He cried so much out of grief, that he became blind! He was separated from his dearest son for years, yet Allah (swt) re united him with his son, and raised both there ranks in this life and the hereafter! Take comfort, in the words of Allah. Read the story of Yusuf (as) and know that your stories are similar, and that you will be united again, whether it is in this life or the hereafter.

Know that Allah is strengthening your heart, your belief, your faith in him so be certain, that ease is to follow. Remember, there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel.

We have hope for paradise, a paradise as huge as the heavens and earth! So be patient for the fruits of patience is Jannah!! Never lose hope.

Imagine the great rewards that are with Allah, and have sabr. For Indeed Allah is with As-Sabiroon.

May Allah (swt) grant you ease, heal your pain and re unite you again with whom you have lost. May He enter you all into the highest stations of Jannah, where you can dwell with your family for eternity. Aameen.

The journey comes to an end...

Bismillah,

So..

Alhamdulilah, I got to see another Ramadhan this year. What an amazing journey and experience it has been for myself personally and for all those around me.

I still remember the feeling of happiness and joy when I find out the news that the moon has been sighted and Ramadhan is the next day. I feel overwhelmed with excitement, that my honored guest has arrived! How I have been waiting for months for this beautiful guest to pay me another visit, all praise is due to Allah!

In fact, I feel so great to know that month has arrived where the atmosphere around will also be one of peace and tranquility.

You know what I love deeply about this month? They are the small things sometimes that bring tears of happiness in my eyes!!

Don't you so feel such a tingling feeling of happiness inside when you see your Muslims brothers and sisters, out in there masjid garments even after midnight, all coming back from worshipping there Lord?

And the amazing times you have with your loved ones at suhoor time, when even the little ones come join you?

What about those times when your house is filled with the mesmerising and most beautiful words of Allah, recited by Makkah taraaweeh by Sheikh Sudais and Maher?

Even them busy wizzy moments after iftar when your rushing around getting ready to go for taraaweeh prayer?

How about that overwhelming feeling when the sheikh reciting in taraaweeh comes to an ayah where he includes the word "Jannah" and in your mind your like "OMG! I know what that meaaaaaans!""

And to add the cherry on the cake, the witr dua, when 10 odd people (estimate amount at your masjid, or let's say 4/5 million people in Makkah!) pour there hearts our as they invoke there lord together, not bothered what the people next to them think?! And the absolutely beautiful thing, is to acknowledge the fact that Allahs listening to each one of there prayers, subhan'Allah!

This is the month of mercy, which has passed, how it saddens me. How much I will miss it. Yet we need to remember were not only Ramadhan Muslims. Allah, Islam, Quran, Qiyaam are there out of Ramadhan too, so hold onto your deen tightly, and increase your good deeds for Allah out of Ramadhan too.

May Allah (swt) allow us to live to see many more ramadhans, to accept our actions and repentance that we did this Ramadhan, and to keep us steadfast after Ramadhan, Aameen

"O controller of the hearts, keep our hearts firm on your religion" Aameen

Taqabal minna Wa Minkum, wa salihul a'mal.

Until next time,

Wassalamu Alaykum,

Your dear uktis.

Imagine.....

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuhu my dear brothers and sisters,

Firstly, I pray that you're all having an amazing, imaan - boosting Ramadhan! Please keep me in your sincere Duas :)

Secondly, todays post is by a sister who is new to 'SmilingMuslimahs' and who Insha'Allah now will also be writing for us!!! ..Below is her debut post. May Allah accept from us all. Keep her in your Duas too. Jazakumullahu Khair.

So just sit back and get into your thinking modes...

Bismillah

As I was sat pondering one afternoon, a thought came to me. What does it feel like to be blind? And my reaction was, 'Astaghfirullah, May Allah protect me from that!' Then I wondered, what does it feel like to be deaf? And again, I reacted with 'Astaghfirullah, May Allah protect me from that!' And then, I thought what does it feel like to be both deaf and blind? And of course, I had the same reaction, if not worse than the first two. Can you imagine being blind and deaf? Not being able to communicate at all, having only your sense of touch, and not knowing what all of the textures and feelings are. And in that train of thought I began to imagine a life without those two immensely important senses. Imagine not being able to see your food, see your friends, hear their voices, see your parents and the love they have for you on their faces. Imagine not being able to go anywhere without worrying for your life. This is the physical blindness and deafness. However, what about the spiritual blindness and deafness? Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an:

"Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path]." Surah Baqarah:18

Allah is speaking about those who do not have faith, and do not want to have faith; they are deaf, dumb and blind, and cannot find the right path again because of the way they deny the Signs of Allah (swt). We are horrified to think of the physical blindness and deafness, but the spiritual blindness and deafness is far worse! Those that deny the blessings of Allah (swt) and are caught up in this worldly life, lose out in this world, but also the hereafter. Allah sets a cover on their hearts, as he mentions in the Qur'an:

"Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment." Surah Baqarah:7

There are many people in today's world who fit into this category, due to the negative light Islam is being portrayed in. They don't even want to know about Muslims, and many of them know close to nothing about Islam. Can you imagine this? Can you imagine not being a Muslim? Never being taught about Islam properly? The first thing you heard about Islam was negative and you were scared to hear any more? Can you imagine not knowing who your Lord was? Not knowing who created you? Can you imagine not knowing who the Prophet Muhammad (saw) was, except for a few lies you'd been fed by ignorant people? Can you imagine never feeling the sweet peace of eemaan? Never reading the beautiful words of the Qur'an? Never hearing its recitation? Can you imagine never having heard the adhaan in the early hours of the morning such that it moves you to tears? Never having seen the hundreds of Muslims happily entering the mosques on a Friday or on Eid, perfumes and laughter filling the air? Can you imagine never having seen the crowds humbling themselves before Allah (swt) on the plains of Arafah? Can you imagine never experiencing a Ramadhan; the beautiful month of mercy, tranquility and happiness? We can't even bear to think about losing these blessings! Yet there are billions of people out there who are missing out on all of this, because of the negative image MUSLIMS have created of Islam.

Isn't it time we sorted ourselves out? Isn't it time we turned back to our Lord, and His Word, the Qur'an, and followed it, letter by letter like the successful generations before us? Isn't it time we did our job, in enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, not ENJOYING the EVIL and FORGETTING the GOOD???

My dear reader, this is a reminder to myself before you; we need to be thankful for the blessing that Allah has bestowed on us of an open heart, receptive to messages of good, and we need to take advantage of it and the best way to praise Allah is to use his blessings to do good. Let's all wake up this Ramadhan and do our job as Muslims, spread the word of our beautiful religion, share the gift of Islam with our neighbours and the whole of society, and become the best examples for society, by following the best example for us; the Prophet Muhammad (saw). Let's stop our carelessness and heedlessness and wake up before we are held to account for our work in discouraging people from learning about Islam, due to our neglect of Islamic teachings. And what better time to do da'wah than the month of da'wah, Ramadhan!
I pray you all benefit from this short reminder, anything evil is from myself and shaitan, the accursed, and anything good is from the blessing of Allah, and all praise is to Him.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu

The Month Of Mercy ...

Assalamau Alaykum Warhamatullah!

Today i want to talk about a month which holds a great importance in Islam and in the lives of the Muslimeen.

This month, as you all may be aware is Ramadhan.

..Whilst Ramadhan is drawing closer and closer we need to now be asking ourselves, what is it that we have done to prepare for this amazing month? Or, what is it that we need to do so that when we get to this month, we're ready, enthusiastic and full of energy?

If you were to ask me to tell you about the beauty and joy of Ramadhan, words would do no justice.

However, i can tell you that Ramadhan is a month where a slave of Allah takes a break from this Dunya and its desires and temptations, and travels to the vastness of the hereafter. It is a month in which a servant of Allah is reminded that this world is but a temprary abode, and the hereafter is what is the eternal life, and so in the humble state he's in, he tries to change his ways, habits, and character, and persists in doing good deeds, so that it lasts him for a whole year until the next Ramadhan.

Ramadhan is a month where you do all you can to uplift your Imaan, and cleanse your self from the filth of sins. It is a month, where shayaateen are locked away, hells gates are closed and Jannahs doors are open, and deeds are multiplied. A Muslim should take this month as training.

Phsycologists have said that if a person starts to do something for several days, it becomes a habit, and so this is why Ramadhan is 29/30 days so that a Muslim cans start to develop his or her rountine and ways in accordance to the commandments of Allah.

This month is also a month in which the Quran was revealed, and in it lies one of the best nights. Laylatul Qadr. We should take full advantage of these precious days that await us, and treat it as if its our last Ramadhan, so we can get the most out of it.

For many, Ramadhan is seen as just long continious hours without food and drink. However, it is also a time for us to fast from our desires, and sins such as backbiting, lying etc.

Realistically, going without food or drink (fasting) makes one humble and reliant and so a servant in this state draws closer to his Lord, and doing good deeds is made easier for him.

Hence, why Allah (swt) says:

"The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Qur'an was revealed as guidance for mankind and with vivid features of (earlier) guidance and the Criterion (of right and wrong); so those of you who witness the month must fast therein and should anyone be sick, or on a journey, then, a number from other days. Allah wants ease for you and does not want hardship for you. And all this because you may complete the number and proclaim the Takbir of Allah for having guided you and that you be grateful." (2:185)

Allah (swt) is giving us this month, so we can become better Muslims. Allah (swt) prescribed on all those who are able to, and have reached the age of pubery to fast. Fasting in this month, is also one of the pillars of Islam, and without doing this, one is neglecting a basic fundamental of Islam.

It may be long days of fasting, but the reward is huge! You will not only see the benefits of this in the hereafter but also in this dunya, as it keeps you away from evil desires and temptation.

We all need to strive to make this Ramadhan the better than the last, and strive to utilise each moment in the best way possible.

Set yourself targets, write them down. Even, if for some reason you were unable to perform this certain act in Ramadhan, then even still, that paper and pen will testify for you on the day of judgement and also your will be rewarded for your intention.

Keep the Quran your company at night in these blessed days, and help others. Whether its helping your mum prepare for iftar, or having study circles with your siblings. Remember you will be rewarded multiple times for it, if your intentions were sincere, and for Allah!
May Allah (swt) allow us to live to see another Ramadhan, and grant us the ability to utilies each moment in pleasing Him, and doing good deeds. May Allah (swt) give us the ability to keep steadfast in all the good we start, and reward and accept our actions. Aameen.

On that note:

Al Kauthar Bradford will be holding a one day course on Ramadhan - "The Month Of Mercy"
And one way of making our Ramadhan, a good one, is getting to know more about it, its widoms, etc and also if you havn't prepared, then this is the course for you!

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "Whoever treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah will make the path to paradise easy for him"

Scholars of the past, would travel far and wide to seek knowledge, and here, in todays world many of us have it right at our fingertips!

Please do not miss this oppurtunity!

The Almaghribis

Species Name: Al Maghribis
Habitat: Purple Land
Food: Hot, spicy, desi Biryani
Distribution: Around the globe
Current Location: The Tribe of Diamonds <>

...Okay so your probably thinking, that i have seriously lost the plot! Well, actually i am just a little excited about todays post. I thought i'd do a special one about my experiance at Al Maghrib and my journey as a student of Ilm (knowledge).

Soo, where do i actually start? Ok, i'll start from my first ever discovery of the purple al maghrib land.
It was actually a pretty random one to be honest, i can remember just gatecrashing into a meeting thinking it was a revision session! Subhan'Allah its amazing how Allah (swt) plans!

A bit of time went by and i started volunteering. My first course was shephards path, and oh how that was one of the most heart softening courses that truly filled my heart with so much love for the Prophet Muhammad (saw). Taking you on a journey through his life experiences, his joyous moments, his struggles and his striving, right till the end when he was in his last moments.

The course that actually transformed me totally, was Eternal Journey. Allah (swt) blessed me with so much knowledge right at my hands, and surley this course really changed me, in fact changed my Life.
It went throught the surahs in the 29th chapter, Surah Tabarak and Subhan'Allah, this chapter just like all the other chapters in the Quran, really filled me with the fear and love of Allah (swt) to another level.

We have so much to learn from the Quran and if we were to take time out to reflect, ponder, over the verses of Allah (swt), we would truly feel enlightened by the greatness of the words of our Master.
It taught me that this life was nothing but a temporary abode, it was the fake silver, and that the hereafter was the real gold. It took me on a journey through the hereafter, from the final moments my life, to the eternal abode in either Jannah or Jahannam. May Allah protect us from the hell fire and enter us all into Paradise! (Aameen)

...As i attended more regulary, i realised that we mankind are so much more in need of knowledge than of food and drink. That no matter how much we learn there is still so much more to learn.
Ilm is the key!

Besides, the fact that through al maghrib, i got to seek all this knowledge that Allah (swt) blessed me with, but also the sisterhood!

I have met some aaaaaamaazzzzzing sisters, from football fanatics, to cat lovers! Yes, you get to meet all types of wonderful, talented and beautiful sisters, who you have so much in common with!
The beautiful thing is that we all put aside our busy lives, to unite together and seek knowledge together. Not only does it strengthen ones faith, but ones bonds and creats a sense of love and unity.

Sisters, from all around the country, come and travel to gain the understanding of our Deen (Religion). I pray Allah (swt) unites us all in Jannah too! Aameeeen :)

I thank Allah, truly for blessing me with these precious gems in my life and allowing me to gain a better understanding of my religion and treading the path in search of knowledge!

"Whoever treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah will make the way to Paradise easy for him"

(Riyadus Saliheen)

"The seeking of knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim"

(Tirmidhi)

Oh and of course, can't forget the delicious bradford Biryani and the mouth watering cupcakes :) ..Dawah and Dinner go hand in hand, Alhamdulilah!

May Allah (swt) make us implement all that we learn, so we can become better Muslims and Muslimahs :)

On that note: Don't forget to check out www.iwantjannah.org ;-)

Take care!

See you in Purple Land soon Insha'Allah

Mas'alaama.

Glad tidings to the Strangers!!!!

Assalaamu Alaykum Warahmatullah!

...We live today in a world, a world where 'bad' is the new 'good'. Where nearly everything that is actually wrong is seen as okay. Where freedom is but a persons dream, and injustice is the norm. Where racial harmony is but a discussed a topic, and human rights are but laws with no consequences.

You see the state of the world we live in? Things over time and space have drastically changed. Things like alochol, drugs, fornication and adultery have become widespread and have become the daily norms.

Once upon a time, these things were seen as filthy and evil. If you were to ask the elders of this time about what would happen if a family member indulged in fornication or alcohol??! They would surley tell you that it would have broughtht a huge shame upon the family. It would be seen as something, apalling, unacceptable and just trecherous. I tell you, now you would get a totally different reponse. Oh yes. Now, all of the above acts have become but a normal, eveyday act. I mean, so where do we draw the line??
What was once seen as hidously and utterly digraceful has now become like ok?????
Why?!

To some, it may be the fact that the box in there living room is controlling there all ready confused minds and influencing them to do these acts. Others may say that there friends have a big influence on them, and some will probably argue that its beyond there control, they feel helpless, bullied and strange if they are left out and no "in with the crowd".........

Talking about strange! Let me share with you the beautiful words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) when he told us about the stangers....
To all you strangers, listen up! :)

“Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers.” (Sahih Muslim )

Who said being strange was something bad?! You know what, it isn't. I take this hadith as great motivation and support and so should all of you too :) Never let this society, which has no guidlines or limits in what to do, decieve you.
Allah (swt) has blessed us with this beautiful gift of Islam and if you hold on tight to the Quran and Sunnah, and obey the command of Allah, even if you have no one with you, even if people think your 'odd', then glad tidings my friend. Glad tidings. Allah has guaranteed that you will be successful.
..Allah does not let ones efforts, striving and struggling go to waste.
Society today, programmes you and brain washes your thinking. It protrays to you certain things, which then make you want to also be a part of it. We need to close the doors on what society tells us to do, because it does nothing but weakens our faith.

It may be the friends who also have an influence on you but if that is the case, then you best move away, as the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:

A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend." [Abu Dawud 41:4815]

Who you 'hang around' with is very important in Islam. If they also accept these wrong actions then eventually that will also rub off on you. Keep your self away from the people that will keep you away from Allah. Rather, make pious company, for there upright character will be an excellent influence on you.

You my brother, my sister, are in this world only as a traveller, just passing by. So it dosn't really matter what others say or think about you, because at the end of the day, your account will be with Allah, not what others saw of you, and insha'Allah if you keep holding on to the rope of Allah, and not indulge in any of these major sins, nor commit shirk, then insha'Allah Jannah will be your abode. I mean what better home! :D

Next time someone calles you a 'stranger' or gives you any stinging, hurtful comments, just smile away and remember the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). :)

If we live in a world now where evil is prevailing, and goodness is at a standstill then what will it be of the coming generations? Wouldn't we want our children to keep away from alcohol, drugs, adultry? yes of course. In that case so should
we. We need to fear Allah, and keep our duty to him as best as we can.

So you beautiful strangers! Be strange! Be different! Be a Muslim!

Don't let society suck you in to it, for once your in 'with the crowd' its difiicult to come back out! Trsut me its full already. Theres probably no room for you anyway...and even if there is...stay away! :D :D

May Allah keep us away from the evil in our communities, and may he make us leaders of Islam, and allow us to show our true identity as Muslims and Muslimahs, and make us of those who strive to make oursleves better, and compete in righteous actions, Aamaeen :)

Until next time...

Keep on smiling! :)

Jazakumullahu Khaira.

Wasalaamu Alaukum!!

Syria is calling... We will answer.

Assalaamu Alaykum my dear brothers and sisters in Islam and Humanity.

I am sure you have all heard about the trial that the people of Syria are going through. Wallah some videos i have watched have been truly heartbreaking. This is why i want to take you on a journey with the people of Syria today..

I want you to feel that your a child. Not yet even reached the age of puberty. I want you to imagine walking down the streets of Shaam, like you do every morning to get a piece of bread from the corner shop, your normal routine everyday, except that today is going to be different...
Your walking along, when all of a sudden, you hear the sound of a gunshot.
You try to run away, and in horror you turn around, frightened, all alone, you see a man.
Dressed in green. With a knife in his hand. You begin to scream for help, but no one else is there. He takes you by the arm and forces you to the ground. Your weak, he is strong. Your tears fall down your cheek. And you heart is pounding faster and faster..... "Mama!!!!!". But mamas not there.
"Papa!" .. you scream louder. Hes not there either. The man holds out the knife, and begins to stab you. All you feel is a tingling sharp pain in your stomach. An exruciating feeling you can't even describe "Ya Allah!!!" You cry out. And He is there. He is hearing your cries. *Sabr young child! Allah is with you!*

...The last thing you remember, is taking your last glance at the city around you. You childhood ended here. The very place you would play every weekend with your friends. You were brutally, slaughtered to death.

..O Peoole, Did you feel that? How did it feel just reading that? Imagine those thosands of children who are in a similar situation like this every day in Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan??? Don't we realise that they too are our family? That they too deserved a childhood like us? Don't you realise that these children are Martyrs in the sight of Allah? That Allah has raised there rank high in the hereafter? The question is what are we doing?!! Ask yourself? Have you even made Dua? Wallah dua is the weapon of a beleiver!! Just do it!

How can you sleep at night, knowing a child somwhere is beaten and torutured to death? WHERE IS THE JUSTICE. Give me one child that can be labelled guilty. Just one.
I am telling you now, you won't even find one. Those children are innocent.

Not only children, but men and women alike, our brothers and siters are being ripped apart and tortured for testifying to La Ilah Illa Allah!

Zaid Ibn Thabit (ra) reports that the Prophet (saw) said, "How blessed is Al-Sham"! The Companions (ra) asked, "Why is that"? The Messenger (saw) replied, "I see the Angels of Allah spreading their wings over Al-Sham".

This beautiful, reassuring hadith explains to us that indeed Shaam is a blessed city, Allah has chosen to test this city, because the people within are a people, of patience, taqwa, piety, and courage. They are certain that Allah will grant them victory but do we even have that trust and certainty that they have? Or are we lingering in doubt??

Have faith. Believe. That Allah will bring harship after ease. We as an ummah still need to do our bit, we will be questioned! And the least we can do is answer there call and make Dua!

Imagine your one of the woman who is being torutred and raped? Wouldn't you want people to support and help you?

Arn't those people meant to be us? The followers of Rasulullah (saw)??

Wake up!! Ya Akhi and Ukhti!

Please i ask you guys to make dua now as you read this, and be sincere. Allah wil accept your Dua, indeed He is the Most Kind Most Meciful. We should never lose hope!! Never.

And with that i make a Dua, a dua for my family in Shaam, in palastine, in lebanon- in all the places in the world, who are being brutually mudered. Whose lives at are risk, who are being opressed!

Ya Rabb grant our brothers & sistees sabr, shower your mercy upom them oh Most Merciful! Come to there aid ya rabb, and enter them into the highesr stations of Paradise!
O Allah give them victory over the disbelievers! You never fail i your promise. Accept them as martyrs, and protect our women, men and children. O Allah forgive us for not doing enough and unite the ummah, and make us hell our ummah for your sake!

Aameen!

Please share & let others know.

Wasalaamu alaykum warahmatullah.

Imagination is a vivid place to hide...

Assalaamu Alaykum Ukhtis :)

It has been a long time since i have posted anything on my blog and so today i decided i needed to share something with you guys, something uplifting inshaAllah ...Well, i hope so :)

Okay, so today on this beautiful wednesday afternoon, as i sit sipping away at my mango juice, i thought i'd talk to you guys about those times in your life when you feel all alone. Those times in your life when you feel unworthy, bullied, helpless and down in the dumps, as some may say. They are the times when you feel the world is against you and you feel that absolutely nothing can change the situatuion your in..
Those moments when your tears roll down you cheek, and you sit wiping them away, feeling all confused and lost, you feel the need to just hide away from the world and become invisible.

At the time you may be feeling peered and helpless, but what if i told you that in these times you're not alone. That Allah (swt) your Creator, the Most Merciful is by your side always. He knows the absolute pain your feeling, your broken heart and your every tear that falls from your eye..
HE knows how you're inner thoughts and He Allah (swt) is not going to leave you, it's about YOU knowing and acknowledging that in these moments in your life and also in times of ease, you need no one but HIM. Your Creator who knows you Best.

These hardships that occur in your life are either for you a test or a punishment, and how do you defentriate and know which one it is? If the calamity that befalls you brings you closer to Allah, it is a test and if it takes you away from Allah it is a punishment. However, do you know what the beautiful thing is, it is the fact that Allah (swt) is the Most Compassionate, He says in the Quran 'Call upon Me, I am Near' He wants you to call upon him, with your heart filled with humility and your eyes flowing with tears. That moment you turn to Allah you feel this numinous feeling you can't even describe by words, because your turning to you Lord the Most High, in such a humble heart- softening state! subhanAllah..

These times were not sent by Allah to break you but to make you that stronger person you are today. Each and everything a believer goes through is good for him. He is always in a win win situation. Believe in this!
Even something as small as being pricked by a thorn is expiation for you sins. IMAGINE IT. Imagine your sins falling away! Imagine being purified from filth! Imagine those black dots being removed from your hearts! WOW! This is a time of cleansing and purification of the heart, soul, body and mind!

YOU are getting reward for each moment of your patience and preservance. Just IMAGINE that reward and you will be able to see the beauty and wisdoms of what your going through inshaAllah.

Allah will take care of you and grant you not only heaps of hasanaat, but also a clean fresh mind and heart.

Hmm, so IMAGINATION. Something that Allah (swt) has blessed many of us with. If we didn't imagine then how would we think of those beautiful rewards that await us?

The ultimate reward; Jannahtul Firdaus.

When your feeling all low and stressed out, maybe its all these exams that are causing you to feel like 'You havn't got a life' or maybe someone in the family is extremely ill, then just carry on smiling away, because you have a chance to escape for a bit, take a break and imagine the blue clear skies, eternal boys like pearls at your service, beauiful women surrounding you, dresses of silk, bracelets of gold.. Imagine drinking froms the hand of the Prophet Muhamad (saw), or diving into a river of chocolate, or maybe swimming in an ocean of boost! Whatever it is, take a break and imagine the reward that awaits you, for your striving and struggling each day.

May Allah (swt) grant us all Sabr, and protect us from the evils around us, and grant us the ability to strive in His cause and for Islam, and make us amongst those who enter Jannah :) Aameen!

So thats all i have to say! :D

tc. Keep on Smiling!

Masalaaama!

Health is a crown *~*~*~*

Assalaamu Alaykum ya naas ^_^

Hope and pray your all doing great!

I wanted to share something with you guys that i thought was relevant due to the fact that many millions and billions of people around the world are being afflicted with this.

What i want to talk to you about is... illness.

Subhan'Allah, just last week i find out that one of our close family friends, had been diagnosed with brain tumor. At first, to me, it was quite a shock seen as we had just recently seen him very active..

MashaAllah he was a brother who was always on the go. Of course, whenever a Muslim hears or is inflicted with a calamity, he says 'Inna lilahi wa Inna ilayhi Rajioon' (Verily, from to Allah do we belongand to him we shall return) and thereafter is patience and accepts the Decreeof Allah (swt).

What struck me the most, was that this brother was really young, had three beautiful children and MashaAllah seemed very healthy, you would never think it would be such a serious illness.

Alhamdulillah, his operation was successful and he is on the way to recovery.

What i want toshare with you guys, is the lesson i took from this happening, and some reasons why you should appreciate the blessing of Health and Hardship...

"Health is a crown that only the sick can see” (Dawud (as))

These wise words by Dawud (as) are so true and of such beauty. Here health is described as a ‘crown’ meaning something precious and treasured, but to who? The healthy.

When one is sick he realizes and appreciates the blessing of health, whilst those who are healthy,do not see it as something huge, or don’t even realize its significance until its taken way from them.

As they would say ‘health is wealth.’ Too right they are, because if you have health and you are physically, mentally and spiritually okay, then you have everything . You have the energy and strength to do what you can, and that is why my dearest brothers and sisters in Islam, always appreciate and use your healthy times wisely, becauseif it was to be taken away from you, it would take away many other things withit.

The Prophet states in a Hadith:
“There are two blessings in which most people are in greatloss: 1) Good health and 2) Free time.”

Unfortunately, many people are unaware of these two blessings, and they go ahead living there life thinking it willremain with them forever. We have no guarantee!

The lessons i learnt from this situation were many, although i knew of them it was a great and well needed reminder and Alhamdulillah it really opened my eyes to the reality of this dunya (world)...

1) Shukr (Thanks toAllah) - I have already mentioned health and how we should value it, but I also learnt that one should be grateful to Allah for it. For the fact, that you can put your forehead to the ground and make Sajdah to Allah, whilst many can’t. That your not one of those thousands of people lying in a hospital bed, not knowing when you will be able to walk or talk again. One of the ways of being thankful to Allah, is by showing Him that you DO appreciate this blessing and so if you have it, you use it to work for your Akhirah and for the pleasure of Allah.

2) Mercy of Allah – Subhan'Allah, through this encounter I learnt that never lose hope in the Mercy of Allah (swt). That Allah (swt)will shower his Mercy down on those who show patience.

“And We will surely testyou with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives andfruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who,when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeedto Him we will return."
(Surah Baqarah:155-156)
The family of this brother, MashaAllah , were of those whoshowed great patience, and that they never lost hope in the Mercy of Allah. Surely he Allah is Ar-Rahman andAr-Rahim and is with the Sabiroon (those who are patient).

3) Allah is the Best of Planners – Wow! This is just amazing. The yaqeen and trust one should have in the plan and decree of Allah. It may that you were planning to do something whilst Allah had a better plan. This brother may have had plans, but Allah replaced his plan with a better Plan, that would effect many, and hold many wisdoms behind it Subhan'Allah.

Let me tell yousomething that happened to me a few days back..

I actually already wrote half of this post a few days back, but whilst i was writing it and pouring my heart out, my laptop suddenly went all weird and my post just disappeared. Of course i was gutted, but you know what? In my post i was typing the bit about Allah being the Best of Planners, and so i thought to myself,“you know what, there has got to be some wisdom behind this, just got to be” ..And of course Allah never fails in his promise, and so there was. Not only did a sister teach me a new hadith which taught me that Allah will replace you with something better, but she also made dua that my next post would be even better AND another sister shared that hadith and so lots of people benefited.

Now tell me ..That is just mind blowing and amazing! Subhan'Allah! Allahu Akbar! ..also the fact that i could narrate this story to you is a wisdom and blessing too, knowing that Insha'Allah you will learn and benefit from it J

4) The Power of Dua- This one was also a huge reminder, that you know what? Trust in Allah, and have full faith and he will give you.Subhan'Allah, i can remember so many times when things are just not going right, and you turn to Allah, and he is always there for you. Always. Allah loves those who turn to him!!

This family who were going through this hardship knew that only Allah is the one whose help is sought, HE is the one who grants Shifaa!!

What touched me was, the hundreds, even thousands and peoplewho were making Dua for this one brother, whom some haven't even met, but you know why they did it? Because its only Allah that one turns to in both times of hardship and ease! Yes! Totally wonderful and beautiful.

Andwhen My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. Irespond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let themrespond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly]guided.”

5) Muslim Ummah is one – I can’t stress this point enough, itis so beautiful when you see one Ummah unite, and make dua and help those whom they don’t even know. Why? Because everyone is connected by “La ilaha IllaAllah”... This is the beauty of Islam that when one part of the body hurts the whole body feels the pain, and that's how the Muslims are with one another..

When Syria is feeling all the pain, and sorrow, and tears, we also feel there pain, shed tears, and do ALL we can t help.
When our brother or sister is in need of something, we run to there aid, knowing that Allah will reward us for we helped another of His slave! Allahu Akbar!

On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him)from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said, ” Whoeverrelieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allahwill rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. (Part of hadithnarrated by Muslim)

6) Spend your youth worshipping Allah – Take advantage of your youth before you old age! And remember the youth who spends his time serving Allah and worshipping him, will be granted Allah (swt)’s shade (HisThrone) on the day when there will be no shade except His (swt’s)..

7) Finally.. After every hardship is ease – You all must know this beautiful Ayah in the Quran, its for us to reflect upon this and know thatAllah will bring ease after hardship, yes its the truth, and Allah never fails in his promise, so have certainty!

So on that i end my post, and I ask you all to raise your hands and make dua for the millions of Muslims suffering around the world, and that you ask Allah, and call upon him with His beautiful names, and ask Him to curethem all and grant them ease!
I pray you benefited from this post ;)

Until next time...

PEACE :D – Keep on smiling!!

Jazaakumullahu Khairan wa barakaAllahu Feekum Wassalaamu Alaykum!!
P.S – Just to add if i have any spelling mistakes, please do overlook them, because for some reason i tend not to see them, even when i read it over again J But i will send it to my proof readers and make sure its all right...
But for now, enjoy the read ;-)
