A Letter to the family of a Prisoner..

Today I want to share something I wrote which is called“ A Letter to the Family of a Prisoner”.

But before that, I want you to get a piece of paper and a pen and write on it “Reminder: Make dua for my brothers and sister in prison” –stick it somewhere you know you will see it, and always remember them in your Duas.

“Dear family of prisoner, Know that Allah azza waj’al burdens no soul with more than it can bear. He, Allah (swt), has chosen you. You have been chosen to be part of this huge test, but let me tell you one thing; you are special.

Your Lord, Allah (swt) the All-Knowing, is testing you, testing you, so that your ranks are raised high in the hereafter. So that He (swt) can count you in as of those who were the patient!

It is mentioned in a Hadith that “Allah tests those He loves” ..

The Prophets were tested severely, and a believer alike will be tested similarly. But always remember when Allah (swt) tests a people, there is always wisdom behind it.

Allah (swt) loves to see His slave with a humble heart, calling upon His Lord day and night. Relying on Him. Trusting in Him. Believing that ease will come after hardship.

He, azza waj'al, is drawing you all closer to him, making you patient so you can reap the fruits of the hereafter. He, Allah, wants what is BEST for you. So believe in that with all your heart! Feel the Mercy of Allah being bestowed and drenched upon you all, and the member of your family you’ve lost!

Be patient. Remember the verse “Indeed after every hardship will be ease”

Remember Yaqub (as) when his son Yusuf (as) was taken away from him, naturally he felt so much sorrow. He cried so much out of grief, that he became blind! He was separated from his dearest son for years, yet Allah (swt) re united him with his son, and raised both there ranks in this life and the hereafter! Take comfort, in the words of Allah. Read the story of Yusuf (as) and know that your stories are similar, and that you will be united again, whether it is in this life or the hereafter.

Know that Allah is strengthening your heart, your belief, your faith in him so be certain, that ease is to follow. Remember, there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel.

We have hope for paradise, a paradise as huge as the heavens and earth! So be patient for the fruits of patience is Jannah!! Never lose hope.

Imagine the great rewards that are with Allah, and have sabr. For Indeed Allah is with As-Sabiroon.

May Allah (swt) grant you ease, heal your pain and re unite you again with whom you have lost. May He enter you all into the highest stations of Jannah, where you can dwell with your family for eternity. Aameen.

The journey comes to an end...

Bismillah,

So..

Alhamdulilah, I got to see another Ramadhan this year. What an amazing journey and experience it has been for myself personally and for all those around me.

I still remember the feeling of happiness and joy when I find out the news that the moon has been sighted and Ramadhan is the next day. I feel overwhelmed with excitement, that my honored guest has arrived! How I have been waiting for months for this beautiful guest to pay me another visit, all praise is due to Allah!

In fact, I feel so great to know that month has arrived where the atmosphere around will also be one of peace and tranquility.

You know what I love deeply about this month? They are the small things sometimes that bring tears of happiness in my eyes!!

Don't you so feel such a tingling feeling of happiness inside when you see your Muslims brothers and sisters, out in there masjid garments even after midnight, all coming back from worshipping there Lord?

And the amazing times you have with your loved ones at suhoor time, when even the little ones come join you?

What about those times when your house is filled with the mesmerising and most beautiful words of Allah, recited by Makkah taraaweeh by Sheikh Sudais and Maher?

Even them busy wizzy moments after iftar when your rushing around getting ready to go for taraaweeh prayer?

How about that overwhelming feeling when the sheikh reciting in taraaweeh comes to an ayah where he includes the word "Jannah" and in your mind your like "OMG! I know what that meaaaaaans!""

And to add the cherry on the cake, the witr dua, when 10 odd people (estimate amount at your masjid, or let's say 4/5 million people in Makkah!) pour there hearts our as they invoke there lord together, not bothered what the people next to them think?! And the absolutely beautiful thing, is to acknowledge the fact that Allahs listening to each one of there prayers, subhan'Allah!

This is the month of mercy, which has passed, how it saddens me. How much I will miss it. Yet we need to remember were not only Ramadhan Muslims. Allah, Islam, Quran, Qiyaam are there out of Ramadhan too, so hold onto your deen tightly, and increase your good deeds for Allah out of Ramadhan too.

May Allah (swt) allow us to live to see many more ramadhans, to accept our actions and repentance that we did this Ramadhan, and to keep us steadfast after Ramadhan, Aameen

"O controller of the hearts, keep our hearts firm on your religion" Aameen

Taqabal minna Wa Minkum, wa salihul a'mal.

Until next time,

Wassalamu Alaykum,

Your dear uktis.
