And so I stand,
In absolute awe of what i see,
My feet can carry me no longer,
My eyes no longer can contain the tears,
My heart becomes overwhelmed,
My lips uttering nothing but Praises of my Lord,
I gaze up at the House of Allah,
So beautiful, a mesmerising sight,
I am in utter amazement,
At the fact that I'm here,
My Lord invited me to His house,
How I must be so dear,
Alhamdulilah are the words flowing from my lips,
What a Wonderful place,
To my left and right I hear takbeers,
People praying, crying with humility,
O how I could live this moment forever,
Is this all a dream?

Blueberry Muffins
Inspired by the school’s scrumptious blueberry muffins and by my witty book-loving classmate <3
Our Imaan is like a blueberry muffin.
Sometime our Imaan is at a high and sometimes at a low.
Sometimes you can make your blueberry muffin rise perfectly but other times, it can come out flat too.
In order to get your perfect blueberry muffin - with the perfect rise and perfect blend of blueberries, we need to master the recipe and put in the right amount of ingredients all the time, so when we whip that batch up, we can produce the perfect muffin..
Likewise just like we need to give our muffin the perfect rise, we need to find the RIGHT recipe and manual to keep our Imaan consistent and keep it rising.
So reading the Quran, praying salaah with sincerity, doing those things which gives our Imaan a boost or keeps us motivated, learning to have Tawakkul in Allah, ceasing to sin and doing all things for the sake of Allah. All these things should keep our Imaan rising but also our ranks elevating.
Once we see our muffin is rising perfectly or even moderately well…we need to learn to get that RIGHT blend of blueberries…don’t want too much, but don’t want too less either, need to strike a balance and put in a moderate amount, it needs to taste good…yummmm :)
Likewise, we need to keep our Imaan consistent and practice Islam moderately…just like we shouldn’t have too MUCH or too LESS blueberries in our muffin, we shouldn’t go too extreme in our Religious practises, but we shouldn’t be neglectful and put in less effort in our Religious practises.
Therefore, getting our muffin to be as PERFECT as possible, with a perfect rise and right blend of blueberries is a task we should all be willing to take…after all who doesn’t want to have that PERFECT blueberry muffin?

Justice will come
This life is but a journey
Of many twists and turns
Where the darkness of oppression
Rules over the innocent souls
To be human is a novelty
A honour, a uniqueness.
Injustice may be wide spread
Yet Allah is the Most Just of Judges
So let them increase in their rebellion
Their hatred towards us
We believe in a world after this
As wide as the heavens and the earth
A promise from the Lord
Who will let the truth be known
One day
They will come to know
Of many twists and turns
